WOD Historic Archive?

Some of us here in the States are truly interested to compare data WOD data among points in time of the past through the present. I thought there was going to be a location from where this data could be downloaded and used in the classroom and research.

There are a lot of interesting things going on with FUNCube and it would be nice if we could exploit the true educational value of the data.

Does such a repository exist? If so how does one get access to it? If one doesn't exist, will it one exist in the future? When might that be?

Thanks to anyone who responds.

Hi,

I can certainly confirm that the data is being carefully archived. I am not quite sure what arrangements have been/are being made to distribute the files.

No doubt one of our experts will reply shortly

thanks best 73

Is there any further information on when the historic data will be available? I was looking at the warehouse website and couldn't find any access to the files. Have I missed the link? Or has it not yet been implemented?

Hi,

In the database we have 337500 WOD records, accounting for 81% of the orbit coverage.

To export and consume those as a CSV file would be very difficult. That is why we only give the past 24 hours as
a CSV holding 1440 records.

We did consider having a page whereby the user could select a timespan, that is still possible.

The alternative is to create a temporary table in the database and export it as a MySQL dump,
having applied all the scaling factors to the raw data (we store raw integer).

Quite happy to do zip or tar of a CSV or MySQL dump, let me know.

Hi

Thanks for the info and its great to hear that you have captured so much of the data.

The function to select a timespan sounds very useful and I'm sure schools and other users would like to be able to look back through the history of data.

I have done some attitude simulation work during this first year of my PhD so the spin rate mystery peaked my interest.

Thanks for sending the data.

Hi

I think the compromise will be to generate a csv file on a
weekly basis and make them available as an archive.

We will be happy to discuss individual requirements.
