I just purchased a FUNCube Dongle Pro+ and am attempting to use it with the FUNCube Dashboard on a laptop running Windows 8.1 32-bit Japanese.
Each time I start the Dashboard I receive the following exception: "No mapping for the Unicode character exists in the target multi-byte code page" (screenshot below), although the program will start after I dismiss it:

This error also occurs when I go to File --> Settings. In this case the Settings dialog does not open.
Since this is a native Japanese environment I suspected that it might be the cause of the error, however it occurs when the display language is English as well (the error simply changes to English).
Is there a way around this or am I resigning myself to endure this error every startup?
Thanks in advance.
