Dashboard error during startup - portaudio?

Postby gm8oti » Mon Nov 18, 2013 5:03 pm

Hi

Now have the dashboard displayed - hooray! Have yet to play with it, thought I'd better report this first.

System:
Dell Optiplex GX280, P4, 2.8GHz, 504Mb ram
Creative Sound Blaster PCI card
SoundMAX integrated (on-board) digital audio
Win XP pro, SP3 (now up to date)

Error diagnistic pop-up displayed on startup, contents as follows:

---------------------------
FUNcube-1 Dashboard Error

Sorry, an error has occured please seek help at forum.funcube.org.uk copying (CTRL+C) the following information

at MS.Internal.Threading.ExceptionFilterHelper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate method, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler)
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

A short time later, the FUNcube-1 Dashboard window opens and displays.

Will try messing about with sound stuff in Windows. Sound does work normally though.

Cheers

An update - I have a 1024 x 768 LCD monitor, so thought I'd see if I could change some settings to get a smaller font so the various sub windows will fit in the dashboard.

However, if I go to File -> Settings...

on clicking settings I get a diagnostic dump as follows:

---------------------------
FUNcube-1 Dashboard Error
---------------------------
Sorry, an error has occured please seek help at forum.funcube.org.uk copying (CTRL+C) the following information

so the portaudio thing is still there.

Can't see what's wrong with my audio stuff, but maybe that's a red herring.

Thanks Duncan, latest version 805 seems fine, I can't crash it by clicking anywhere!

Will do full testing tomorrow with warehouse connection and test audio files etc.

Many thanks indeed for all your efforts.

OK, final final (!) version 806 working fine and posting data to the warehouse from the test IQ files.

Now to get the hardware set up and ready for Thursday ....

Many thanks for all your efforts, team!
