Funcube and AO-7

Postby g8kuz » Thu Dec 26, 2013 1:29 pm

Had a lot of interference from the second pass of Funcube coinciding with AO-7 pass this morning.
I have (hopefully) included an image from SDR-Console to show Morse signal from AO-7 and Funcube signal.
I use a discone to recieve Funcube signal so can't null out other sats.

Hi John,

Thanks for the note and the reminder that many spacecraft are sharing the just 200kHz that we have available for amateur satellite use on 2 metres at present.

The IARU are in the process of agreeing, in all three Regions, the use of a small segment 144.0025 to 144.0250MHz for linear transponder downlinks from spacecraft so that will give us a little more room to play in - probably from late 2014 when Region 1 have their next meeting.
